leather travel journal with pockets- the ultimate travel journal

This is a unique leather travel journal. It is 100% handmade, hand punched and hand sewn by myself. When I was travelling I wanted a journal that could also be a safe place for all the knick-knacks I collected on my journey, this is the result!

The front flap has pockets sewn into both the front and the back. On the inside pocket there is a pocket which fits cards. As all the pockets are sewn onto the front flap the blank pages in the journal will always lie completely flat no matter how much you fit into the pockets.

The dark brown leather strap which keeps the journal closed has also been designed to secure a pen or pencil to the front of the book.

The leather used is a medium weight, brown, pull up, cow leather which will age beautifully with use. Pull up leather has a natural appearance which lightens in colour when stretched during wear to produce a unique worn-in effect with time.

The journal's pages are sewn using long-stitch binding with very strong 18/3 orange linen thread and closure is a strap of the same waxed leather used for the journal.

There are 200 blank pages (counting both sides) of natural White Fabriano Accademia drawing Paper at 120 g/m2 which is acid free and age resistant. This paper is ideal for writing, sketching and drawing with dry mediums. There are 5 signatures (sections) and each page has been hand torn giving the book a beautiful deckled edge.
