This is a unique leather journal. It is 100% handmade.
The leather used is a crazy cow, red pull up which marks lighter when scratched and will age beautifully with use.
There are 192 pages, counting both sides, of natural white fabriano academia drawing paper at 160 gm/2. This heavy paper is acid free and age resistant with a slight grain, ideal for writing and drawing. Each page has been hand torn giving the book a beautiful deckled edge. There are 5 signatures (sections).
It has green khadi end papers. The Khadi Himalayan papers are made from the bark fibre of lokta or mitsumata. These are native plants which grow at high altitude in the Himalayan forests.
I have sewn it with strong white Irish linen thread 18/3. Closure is a strap of red leather, the same as used for the rest of the cover.

Exquisite. This was purchased as a gift for my adult daughter...she tells me it’s even more beautiful and wonderful feeling/smelling than one would even imagine. Now shipping was interesting...not quick, but, geez we’re in a pandemic...so, it seems the first one was lost🥺🥺🥺 oh she mailed it, ok, but, well it was from a small place in France and we’re in a pandemic. So, quick as a wink, Freya whipped another out — she even had more of that exquisite green paper for the facing/end pages, shipped it out and though it took another nearly two weeks, my daughter’s beautiful red journal was delivered...only two days after her birthday, too! Thank you, Freya, for your kind attention and very real concern won the day and I am grateful. I highly recommend this shop...her artistry with leather is superb☮️

I just received my new journal. It was well packaged, and arrived in a timely manner. It is beautiful! The gold 'foil' type paper in the front and back add an unexpected specialness. The size is perfect for carrying around when I am out and about sketching, and the paper is heavy enough to take watercolor and acrylic well. I would definitely purchase from InkitLeather again!
